• Divination: Strahd can sense and become the recipient of the spell
• Necromancy: Enhanced
• Enchantment: Auto succeed on soul-less targets, Strahd can redirect all Enchantment spells cast within 120ft of him
• Illusion: all look ghostly and not REAL
• Conjuration: Undead / Bones version of what you try and summon

• Set up ritual components
  • Vampire Bats that has bitten a human (they drink blood of others)
  • Sealed with the death of your own bloodline (BLOOD-line)

Trapped Souls Conduit (a Domain of Dread)

• Domains expand based on the power of their Darklord
• When a Darklord is granted a domain, it opens a pocket of darkness which traps all souls within
  • Concentrated darkness pushes the boundaries of the shadowfel into the material plane
  • Souls are not sent onto the Fuge Plane but instead LOOPED back into the souls of newborns
    • this creates a loophole that lets the shadowfel collect souls (for power)
  • ZERO new souls are born… they are all just recycled
  • Soulless Barovians
    • Souls existing within Barovia upon Strahds Fall (after the death of Tatyanna) are trapped here along with any souls BORN in Barovia.
    • Death releases the soul into the Ethereal Plane within Barovia (Shadowfell) but it is trapped untill it is reincarnated into a newborn
      • Barovians that had the same soul also take on the appearance of that same individual
    • If a spirit does not find a host to reincarnate itself into… then the child is born soulless
    • Strahd can only feel on those with Souls
    • Key NPCs and all Vistani have souls
      • Vistani are also all ‘fresh” and have not been reincarnated (Except MADAM IMPORTANT NPC HERE)
• The Dark Ones FEAST on these “trapped souls” and harvest them from the Domain of Dread upon its release
• Continue the Cycle
  • Whoever Strahd turns into a Vampire can become the next Darklord of another Domain of Dread
• BREAK the Cycle
  • Cleans the monolihs in the X corners of Barovia to free all souls within once the Domain of Dread is broken
