Rift of Nations Worldbuilding

Starting off in the Past. 120 years ago from current campaign time

There were 10 Nations each living alone and struggling

Wondrous Accord

• shared all resources with each other to help
• Came together with the hopes and dreams of a better world
• They shattered a single crystal and gave a piece of it to the leader of each nation
  • Little did they know... this pact they made... was magical

The Dream Realm

Quori and the Lavashtar = Dreams and Nightmares

My own personal adaptation of some Ebberon Lore

This Dream Realm has been in a constant struggle for power, their power comes from those in the material plane. BUT neither of them can ACT on the material plane so they have to try and influence others through dreams and nightmares

• Dreamers get power from peoples inspiration and following their dreams
• Nightmares get power from fear and people acting on their fears, or acting on these fears
• Influence on the Planes has always been on a cycle like an ebb and flow back and forth
  • mirrored on the material plane of highs and lows of life
  • this usually ends up turning into a build up and a switch in power
  • Things going well... then there is a shift
